The Old-Fashioned Way

The design brief was to take the format of a known newspaper, and revamp it to interest the digital generation in traditional print. I targeted my design at young alpinists and mountain dwellers who would appreciate the vintage style, and maybe even keep the full page spreads as cheap posters for their converted vans.

On the last page is a print of a current Patagonia Story, which can also be read through a QR code on the page, bridging the gap between print and digital, and providing relevant and interesting stories for the gondola ride as an alternative to doom scrolling.
Integrated into the design of this page is a 'design your own ski' competition for entertainment during après ski beers, doubling as a potential coaster for beer spills.
